ANDREW KEATING
Andrew is the publisher and chief baseball officer of Cobalt Review and Cobalt Press. He has held the editor-in-chief role since founding Cobalt in 2011 alongside University of Baltimore MFA classmates Samantha Stanco, Rafe Posey, and Jill Williams.
Since signing Four Fathers by Ben Tanzer, Dave Housley, BL Pawelek, and Tom Williams in 2013, Andrew has solicited, selected, and edited all of Cobalt Press’ full-length books and judged the first +GAMMA RAYS Book Prize. He has also served as lead editor for the annual baseball issue and judged each of Cobalt’s six baseball writing prizes.
In 2012, Andrew published his first collection of short fiction, Participants, with Thumbnail Press. Andrew worked briefly as Thumbnail’s editorial director before acquiring the press in 2014 and absorbing it into Cobalt.
Andrew lives in Denver, where he serves as the senior communications manager for Early Milestones Colorado, a statewide early childhood intermediary working at the system-level. Previously, Andrew spent seven years in higher education. He held the role of senior writer and communications manager for the Colorado Community College System after three years as Rocky Mountain College’s first director of communications. Across the seven years in higher ed, Andrew taught literature, composition, creative writing, communications, and other subject as a member of the faculty of five colleges and universities.
